Renowned Nigerian singer, Johnny Drille, has recently clarified the nature of his relationship with up-and-coming actress, Tomi Ojo, asserting that their connection is purely platonic. Speculation about their romantic involvement arose when Ojo portrayed Drille's love interest in his 'Believe Me' music video.
However, during a recent interview with Hip TV, the talented artist, hailing from Edo State, maintained that he and Ojo are "just friends."
Drille's clarification comes in the wake of his revelation about his secret marriage to Rima Tahini, the Director A&R at Mavin Records.
Addressing the matter, Drille explained, "First and foremost, if you watched the 'Believe Me' music video, you would understand that there are two Ojos in the song. One is Wale Ojo, and the other one is Tomi Ojo. It was a sort of wordplay, but it worked well together."
When it comes to their relationship, he emphasized that Tomi Ojo is an incredible person and a pleasure to work with. He expressed his admiration for her contribution to the music video and concluded by affirming that this is the extent of their connection.
Johnny Drille's clarification aims to dispel any misconceptions and highlight the professional collaboration between himself and Tomi Ojo. It is important to recognize and appreciate the boundaries that exist within their working relationship.
