Breaking: Lagos State Launches Operation Demolish to Restore Order in Meiran District

 

The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has initiated the demolition of unauthorized structures situated along the perimeter fence of Lagos State Model College in Meiran. This significant action was officially announced by Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for the Environment, through an official statement released on Monday.

The directive to remove these illegal structures was enforced by the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of the State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. Commissioner Wahab confirmed the commencement of the demolition operation, stating, "Demolition of all illegal structures along the perimeter fence of Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Agbado, Oke-Odo LCDA, and environs today by the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources."

This move underscores the state's commitment to maintaining the integrity of its educational institutions and ensuring the safety of the surrounding environment.
