Super Eagles to get new coach soon – Sports Minister Enoh

Nigeria's Sports Minister, John Enoh, has assured that a new head coach for the Super Eagles will be appointed before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers commence next month. The position has been vacant since Finidi George's resignation in June.

The Super Eagles are set to face Benin Republic and Rwanda in their opening two qualifying matches in September. The team will host Benin Republic on September 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, before traveling to Kigali to face Rwanda on September 10.

Minister Enoh confirmed on Channels TV's "Politics Tonight" that the appointment process is underway, stating, "The appointment will be sooner rather than later." This assurance comes as a relief to fans and stakeholders eager to see a new coach lead the team.

With the qualifiers fast approaching, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is expected to announce the new head coach shortly.

The three-time African champions are eager to make a strong start in their quest to qualify for the 2025 AFCON.

Stay tuned for updates on the new head coach and the Super Eagles' journey to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations!
