Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino believes Arsenal may be tempted to sell defender William Saliba to Real Madrid if they receive a suitable offer. Recent speculation has linked Saliba to the LaLiga giants.
Cascarino emphasized that the allure of playing for a top-tier club like Real Madrid is hard to resist. "Every footballer would want to play for a big club like Real Madrid," he stated in an interview with talkSPORT.
He underscored the importance of Arsenal's success in retaining Saliba. "Winning and being successful is a great way of keeping players... Arsenal have to achieve that because Saliba is playing to the level of being a Real Madrid player."
To convince Saliba to stay, Cascarino argues that Arsenal must demonstrate their ability to compete at the highest level. "They need to be challenging to win the Champions League because that's what Real Madrid do so often."
