NNL warns clubs against violence conduct

Nigeria National League (NNL) Chairman, Mr. George Aluo, has issued a stern warning to clubs participating in the upcoming season: zero tolerance for crowd violence. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the coaches and media managers workshop in Ikenne, Aluo emphasized the need for crowd control and urged clubs to allow live streaming of matches without restrictions.

Aluo's message was clear: the NNL is committed to creating a fair and impartial league where clubs can achieve victory based solely on their performance, regardless of venue. To ensure unbiased officiating, referees' indemnities will be paid promptly. This move aims to eliminate the notion of "we rob you, you rob us" and promote a level playing field.

The NNL board has reaffirmed its impartiality, urging clubs to direct any grievances to the secretariat for prompt resolution. With the new season kicking off on November 30, Aluo's words serve as a reminder that the league will not tolerate any form of violence or disruption.

for Manchester United Under Ruben Amorim

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has expressed caution about the team's prospects under potential new manager Ruben Amorim. Following Erik ten Hag's dismissal, Amorim is rumored to be close to joining the Red Devils.

Speaking on The Overlap, Scholes tempered expectations, saying, "At the very best, Manchester United could finish fourth in the league." However, he considers this outcome unlikely, suggesting sixth place is a more realistic target.

Manchester United recently appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy as interim manager after Ten Hag's departure. The team's poor start to the season prompted the change.

Reports indicate Amorim could be in charge for United's November 3 Premier League clash against Chelsea. Scholes' comments highlight the challenges Amorim will face in revitalizing the team.

Scholes' prediction underscores the difficulties Manchester United must overcome to regain their competitive edge. With Amorim's anticipated arrival, fans will watch closely to see if he can exceed Scholes' modest expectations.

Manchester United's search for a permanent manager continues.
