Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman has declared 2024 the best year of his career, following a string of impressive achievements. The 26-year-old Atalanta player scored a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final in May, cementing his place in football history.
Lookman's success extends beyond club football. He played a pivotal role in Nigeria's second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring three goals in seven appearances for the Super Eagles. His outstanding performances have earned him a nomination for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
In an interview with France Football, Lookman expressed his pride and gratitude for his accomplishments. "The feeling of winning and having gold around your neck is an incomparable feeling. And writing history in a small city like Bergamo is something extraordinary."
