8 Nigerians were arrested in Egypt in early
October for protesting without a permit. They were carrying out the Egyptian
leg of the #EndSARS protest.
The Nigerian Embassy in
Cairo intervened in order to secure their release, but the Egyptian authorities
have since discovered that 7 of them do not have residency permit and therefore
they are going to deport them.
