Police Nab Five Robbery Suspects, Recover Stolen Goods and Weapons in Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended five suspects in connection with a string of armed robbery incidents in the state. According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the suspects - Abubakar Nasiru, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bashiru Sani, and Ibrahim Adamu - were arrested by police operatives from the New Karu Division. The arrests led to the recovery of various stolen items, including laptops, mobile phones, a power bank, an MP3 player, ATM cards, a Dane gun, a flat-screen television set, flash drives, a cutlass, and a catapult. In a separate incident, the police also arrested Danjuma Mujumba, a notorious motorcycle snatcher, and recovered a stolen Bajaj motorcycle. Mujumba was apprehended by operatives from the Karshi Division after he attacked a commercial motorcyclist and snatched his motorcycle. The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia, for further investigation and prosecution. Additionally, the Lagos State Police Command announced that its operatives neutralized nine kidnappers and injured two others during a recent operation. The command stated that the operatives ambushed the kidnappers, leading to a gunfight that resulted in the neutralization of nine suspects and the escape of two with gunshot injuries.
