Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has disclosed that Victor Osimhen has made it clear he no longer wishes to play for the club. Despite efforts from Chelsea and Al-Ahli to sign him, Osimhen's transfer failed to materialize on deadline day.
Osimhen's Exclusion from Napoli's Squad
As a result, Napoli has excluded Osimhen from their Serie A squad and stripped him of the number nine shirt. Manna explained that Osimhen's desire to leave has been evident since the end of last season.
Failed Transfer Negotiations
Manna revealed that Napoli attempted to make Osimhen happy by negotiating his transfer, but ultimately, the deals with Chelsea and Al-Ahli fell through. The club has since moved on, signing Lukaku and retaining Raspadori and Simeone.
